UFREF raises funds to keep our schools at the forefront of new, ground-breaking, and essential educational tools and programs. Through grants, we give our teachers the means to pursue new and innovative concepts by providing funding they wouldn’t otherwise have available. Any Upper Freehold Regional School District staff member is invited to submit an application for funding consideration. Grants are awarded for programs and services that supplement and are outside the normal operations of the district.

Application Guidelines:

  1. All grants must have approval from the Building Principal before being submitted.
  2. All approved requests must be received by the cycle deadline to be considered for the current cycle. Any grants received after the deadline will be automatically considered in the next cycle.
  3. Requests will be voted on at UFREF meetings in the fall and spring.
  4. Applicants will receive a copy of responses acknowledging receipt of the grant request. If you do not receive a copy, please follow up to ensure that we received your submission.
  5. Applicants may be contacted with questions regarding their grant prior to the meeting or contacted the evening of in order to complete the vote.
  6. Applicants will be notified of the Trustees’ decision within three weeks of the vote. Not all applications will be approved and the Trustees’ decision is final.
  7. Some requests may be rolled to the next grant cycle if funding is not immediately available.
  8. Contact UFREFGrants@gmail.com with any questions.
