Sno-Ball Softball Tournament Information

Upper Freehold Regional High School

The Upper Freehold Regional Education Foundation is hosting its 3rd Annual Sno-ball Softball Tournament. Sno-ball softball is just as it sounds, softball played in the snow. Standard ASA rules will be followed with some modifications due to the conditions of the field.

Games begin at 8 a.m. and end by 6:00 p.m.

Team entry fee is $225. Entry deadline is Jan. 29, 2010. Please register early to ensure your place in the tournament.

Trophies will be awarded to the teams finishing in 1st and 2nd place. Commemorative long sleeve shirts will be given to all participants.

Tournament Format

Players must be 18 to enter tournament.

Double-elimination.

Playing rules will be in accordance with the ASA.

Texas Style Rules apply. All batters start with a full count of 3 balls and 2 strikes. The pitcher is allowed 1 pitch.

All games will be 5 innings or 30 minutes of play.

Teams will have a minimum of 8 players and 12 maximum.

Eight players are required to start and finish all games, with the exception of injury.

Teams with less than eight players will forfeit.

A ten-run rule will go into effect after three full innings of play.

If ball hits mat or plate it is a strike out.

Teams must arrive 15 minutes prior to game time or forfeit.

Umpire has final say on all calls.

Teams are responsible for providing their own equipment.

Teams must play as conditions are presented. No snow will be removed from the playing fields, no salt or other substance will be permitted.

No metal spikes.

A player or team will be disqualified for unsportsperson-like conduct.
